Turn your life or business story into a professionally written book
Have you ever savored a loved one’s stories and wished you could preserve them for future generations? Do you feel your life or business story hasn’t been fully told? Are you looking to turn conversations, notes, emails, and memories into a lasting record?
Your stories are already there — North Drive Books takes those existing sources and, through a guided interview process, turns them into a professional-quality book you can share, gift, or publish. We help families, founders, and professionals transform their stories into books — in your voice, without having to write a word.
Our process

1. Source material: You share photos, notes, recordings, emails, or other materials.

2. Interviews: We guide you through structured and enjoyable conversations that surface the full story.

3. Writing & Design: Professionals write, edit, and design your story.

4. Publishing: You get a finished book, and you are set up to distribute it via print-on-demand or a private printing press.
We write it for you — in your voice
Our ghostwriting preserves your tone, phrasing, and personality. We shape your material into a clear, engaging narrative while keeping it unmistakably yours. We incorporate photos and personal artifacts near the end of the process.
Let’s talk about your story
A brief conversation is often all it takes to determine what kind of book makes sense for you. Possible formats include memoirs and autobiographies, special-event books, business histories, and other custom projects.
Publishing options
You may choose global print-on-demand distribution (such as Amazon) or private printing for personal or limited circulation. In all cases, you keep full copyright, royalties, and control over distribution.

FAQs
How long will the process take to make my book?
It depends on which tier of our service you use. A mini-memoir/special event booklet will take approximately two months, and our next tier level memoirs usually take four to six months.
Do I need to be a “writer” to work with North Drive Books?
No, we designed our process for people with many stories who do not want to write. We guide you through interviews and source material to produce a book in your voice.
How much time will this take from me?
Most clients spend their time in interviews and reviewing drafts. We structure the process to minimize disruption while keeping you closely involved at key moments.
Will this sound like me?
Yes, voice fidelity is central to our approach. The manuscript takes shape from your words, tone, and perspective, not a generic ghostwritten style.
I don’t have everything organized — is that a problem?
Not at all. Most projects start with scattered material. Part of our job is organizing, curating, and shaping what already exists.
What if there are sensitive or private parts of my story?
You are always in control. We will not include anything without your approval, and we help you decide what to include, soften, or omit.
What if I don’t like an early draft?
That’s normal. Early drafts are structural, not final. We iterate through feedback until the narrative feels right to you.
Is this a biography, memoir, or something else?
It depends on your goals. We help you decide whether a personal memoir, professional life story, family history, or hybrid format makes the most sense. We can also write the book in first-person or third-person, depending on the book type chosen.
Can family members or collaborators be involved?
Yes, we can incorporate interviews or input from others where appropriate.
Do you publish the book for me?
We guide publishing and production, including print-on-demand or private print runs. You decide how and where to share the book, and we set you up with an account to sell the book or order private copies yourself.
Can this be used for professional or business purposes?
Absolutely. Many clients use their books to support leadership visibility, credibility, or legacy projects.
Do you offer support to authors who don’t want ghostwriting?
Yes, North Drive Books offers flexible engagement models for authors who want to write their own book but need professional guidance across development, editing, production, and publishing.
